The need for speed requires the latest technologies and infrastructure using some of the most significant breakthroughs in vibration-resistant fasteners. The use of high-speed trains on the current infrastructure in the US is in its infancy due to the sizable cost. Owning and sailing on your new boat can be a thrilling time and an enjoyable diversion. Of course, it is not all fun and games, and first-time owners must understand that boats require constant maintenance and vigilance. If you do not maintain your vessel correctly, you may find yourself up a creek without a paddle. On today's boats, both sail and motorized, we find a lot of fiberglass, thin laminates or teak that require specialized means of fastening. There are many different types of hardware and safety equipment that can be difficult to properly fasten with a machine screw and nut or sheet metal screw. Today we can use many different components to allow us to bind these thin materials with no access to the backside or better referred to as the "blindside."
