    The Pull-Thru (PT) rivet is a steel countersunk blind fastener designed to set surface flush on both sides of an application (blindside protrusion < 0.4mm/0.015"). Hole filling means the rivet will expand radially into the application hole to provide a strong, vibration resistant joint and compensate for irregular, oversized, slotted or misaligned holes.     The Avdelok® lockbolt is a two-piece assembly consisting of a bolt and collar. Although they are in the blind fastener family, they are not blind fasteners as access is required from both sides of the workpiece to install the bolts and collars. They provide higher shear strength, tensile strength, clamp load and vibration resistance than most other products in the Avdel® blind fastener family. Material options include aluminum, steel and stainless steel with diameter ranges of 3/16" to 3/8".     The Chobert® rivet is the original speed fastener. It is available in aluminum, brass or steel construction and sizes of 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" and 1/4". It can be used in blind holes and is an ideal pivot pin or hose tail. Additionally, it offers lower in-place costs than welding or nail rivets. The Chobert® rivet is primarily a hole filling rivet meaning it will expand radially into the application hole. The rivet does not collapse or shorten during installation. Maximum performance is realized by the interaction of the tapered inner diameter of the rivet body and the flared shape of the mandrel head. The flared mandrel head passes through the tapered bore expanding the rivet fully against the application hole and surrounding material.

    The Grovit® rivet is a speed fastening rivet designed for blind holes in thicker gauge plastics, fiberglass, aluminum alloy and similar materials. It is available in aluminum or steel construction and sizes of 3/32", 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16". Annular grooves on the rivet body expand within the host material to provide a secure anchorage. The grooves are, by design, wide and deep, which allows the application material to flow easily into the grooves. This stress-relieving effect eliminates potential cracking problems in soft or brittle material. Due to the precise design of the Grovit® rivet, the application parameters must meet the specified ranges to ensure proper installation and performance.

  • Avdel Riv Screw Avdel Riv Screw
    The Rivscrew® rivet is a threaded, removable speed fastener that combines the speed of rivet placement with the removability of a screw. It is available in steel construction in sizes of 2.8mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm, and 4.8mm. The Rivscrew® rivet is installed using a hexagonal-shaped mandrel. During installation, the mandrel expands the rivet body radially adjacent to the six corners of the hexagonal shape. This forces the threads on the rivet body into the application forming a thread in the material. Thread forming in this manner a provides higher vibration resistant "thread lock" in the parent material compared to standard screws, while eliminating the need for costly tapping or thread-forming operations.

  • Mate Rivet Mate Rivet
    The Rivet Mate or Mate Rivet is a Cherrymate style rivet, capable of fastening multiple components up to two inches thick. Mate rivets consist of a male blind rivet and a female semi-tubular rivet. Cherrymate rivets are used in sets in assemblies where you have access to both sides. You can control the tension of the fastener which is good for plastic assembly and hinge points where you need strength but allows the assembly to move. Available in aluminum or steel in grip ranges from 3/4" to over 2".
